It's been a minute.....

It would appear I did that thing again, you know where I start a blog and then abandon it. That translates to, I have not written a single thing for nearly 3 whole years! Well not publicly anyways.

The horror of putting all this effort in and just going "nah can't be arsed". Of course it is a lot more complicated than that but nonetheless annoying!

So what has been happening for the last 3 years?!

NB not in chronological order.

I survived a pandemic.

I found an amazing psychologist and have been engaged in life-changing therapy.

I bought a house - a first for me.

I bought a new car - another first for me.

And, most importantly I fell in love.

They say it happens when you least expect it and that could not be truer in my case.

I have always been firmly in camp cat, I loved their independent natures and fuck you attitude. Truthfully the neediness of dogs scared me. Until I was at a place where I didn't mind being needed. Following my move from Sydney my sister and her partner, who I had been living with, purchased a house and wasted no time searching for a dog.

They knew I had dog fever for a while thus suggested I get a dog. I told them they should just get their dog and I would get one when I moved out. My reasoning was pure logic. If I get a dog and it lives with my nieces and they get attached I would not want to take a dog from them. Weirdly I did not think the same could happen to me. That I could get attached to their dog! And that is precisely what happened.

Not only did I get attached but I became Rosie's person.

Fast forward 2.5 years and she is mine, all mine!

So much more to share but gotta go, Rosie needs me (and I need her).
